Call for tutorials The IEEE International Conference on Automated Software Engineering brings together researchers and practitioners to share ideas on the foundations, techniques, tools, and applications of automated software engineering technology. Both automatic systems and systems that support and cooperate with people are within the scope of the conference, as are models of software and software engineering activities. ASE'2003 encourages contributions on applications of Artificial Intelligence techniques to automating software engineering, empirical evaluation of automated software engineering techniques and tools, and automation applied to new directions in software engineering methods and technologies. We are now soliciting proposals for half-day tutorials on all aspects of automated software engineering. The tutorials will take place on October 7, the day before the main conference programme. In previous years, tutorials have concerned software engineering standards, model checking for software, behavioral verification, machine learning, software architectures, and program understanding, amongst other topics (see past conference information at for more examples http://ase.informatik.uni-essen.de/ase/past). Tutorial topics appealing to software engineering practitioners as well as researchers are particularly sought. Short
proposals for tutorials should be sent by email by June 28th, 2003 to
